While the Indian stock market is declining, the rupee has reached an all-time low. Meanwhile, gold and silver prices are rising in both the spot market and the MCX. Gold and silver prices have become more expensive in the retail market, and their prices have also risen in the futures market.

Gold and silver on MCX

At around 9:47 am, the value of the gold contract expiring on June 5, 2026, increased on MCX. The price of gold in this contract rose by Rs. 299 per 10 grams to reach Rs. 153,953 per 10 grams. 

Meanwhile, the price of silver also increased significantly today. The price of the silver contract expiring on July 3 increased today. The price of silver in this contract increased by Rs. 3,514 to Rs. 281,825 per kilogram.

Gold rates in Mumbai and other cities

Gold and silver prices have risen in the national capital, Delhi, and the financial capital, Mumbai, as well. 

According to Bullion's data, at around 9:57 am, gold prices in Mumbai rose by ₹370 per 10 grams to approximately ₹154,420 per 10 grams. Silver prices also rose by approximately ₹4,000 per kilogram to ₹282,240 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, gold prices have risen by approximately ₹320 per 10 grams to ₹154,410. Silver prices have also risen by ₹3,630, surpassing ₹281,890 per kilogram.
