Petrol Diesel Price Hike: Petrol and diesel prices have increased today. Petrol has become costlier by Rs 3 and diesel by Rs 3 in Delhi.
According to the new rates released by Indian Oil, petrol in Delhi has become costlier by Rs 97.77 per liter from today, while diesel has become costlier by Rs 90.67 per liter. Previously, diesel was being sold here for Rs 87.67 and petrol for Rs 94.77 per liter.
In Kolkata, petrol has become ₹108.74 per liter from today, while diesel has become ₹95.13 per liter. According to the new rates released by Indian Oil, petrol in Chennai has become ₹103.67 per liter from today, Friday, May 15th, while diesel has become ₹95.25 per liter.
Consumers will now have to bear the burden of rising fuel prices due to fuel shortages caused by the war in West Asia. As had been anticipated for the past few days, petrol and diesel prices increased across the country, including Delhi, from 6 am on Friday.
The price of petrol has increased by ₹3.14 per liter, bringing it to ₹97.77. Similarly, diesel has become costlier by ₹3.11 per liter, reaching ₹90.67. Today marks the first increase in petrol and diesel prices since 2022.

In this regard, outgoing president of Delhi Petrol Dealers Association, Nishal Singhania, said that this increase has been made by the oil companies due to fluctuations in crude oil prices in the international market and weakness of the rupee.
